Landscape ArchitectureTU Berlin, 2021

The design task begins with an in-depth exploration of Waldeckpark near Moritzplatz in Berlin. Through various analyses and research, we examine the site in terms of atmosphere, history, topography, vegetation, and material. The goal is to create a place that connects the neighbourhood and reactivates the park.

We propose an interplay of different programme areas that present distinct characters — playgrounds, a skatepark, calisthenics, cafés, and calmer park zones. The activities follow the organic path structure along the edges, which drops by one step toward the centre and provides a continuous seating ledge. The park is framed by a designed topography, forming a natural, protected area without imposing physical boundaries.
